How do I uninstall ObservEd?

To uninstall ObservEd from your Canvas instance, a Canvas admin will need to go to the root account and follow these instructions:

1. Delete the ObservEd course

   1. Go to the account where ObservEd is installed

   2. Select Courses

   3. Search for Cidi Labs ObservEd

   4. Open the ObservEd course

   5. Go to the course Settings

   6. Select Delete this Course

   7. Confirm to Delete the Course

2. Remove the ObservEd task runner user

   1. Go to the account where ObservEd is installed

   2. Select People

   3. Search for ObservEd

      1. The user may be under ObservEd Task Runner or ObservEd - No Reply

   4. Select the user to view User Details

   5. In the Name and Email section, select Delete

3. Remove the ObservEd role

   1. Go to the account where ObservEd is installed

   2. Select Permissions

   3. Select Account Roles

   4. Locate the ObservEd Task Runner role and select it

   5. Select the Trash icon to the right of the role

   6. Confirm to delete the role

4. Remove Developer Keys

   1. Go to the Canvas root account

   2. Select Developer Keys

   3. Under the Account keys, find the ObservEd key and disable or delete it.

   4. In the Inherited keys, find the ObservEd key and disable it.

ObservEd is now removed from the Canvas instance.
