Why isn't my course being detected in ReadyGO?

The "Course not found" message can appear when a course no longer exists in Canvas, or when there is an issue with the task runner.

There are two reasons that you may see the "Course not found" message in ReadyGO.

Course No Longer Exists

If you are seeing the message for a single course, this likely indicates that the course was reset or deleted in the Canvas instance. Several factors (such as administrator cleanup, term rollover, or SIS sync errors) can cause the course to lose the unique ID that ReadyGO uses to locate it.

To test whether this is the case, select "View Course in Canvas" to navigate to the course's Canvas page. If the course no longer exists, you will see a "Page not found" error in Canvas.

Task Runner Permissions

When several or all courses are displaying the error message, it means that the ReadyGO task runner does not have the correct permissions or needs to be reauthorized. 

After confirming that the task runner account is at the root level in Canvas, try reauthorizing the task runner.
