If Student Access is enabled by default and the course has been scanned via UDOIT or Cidiscape, students will be able to request alternative formats for files inside the course content.
Yes, if UDOIT is hidden from the course navigation, but the course was previously scanned at the course-level or using Cidiscape, the Student Access dropdown will appear.
Institutions can decide whether or not Student Access is enabled in all courses by default during the implementation of Student Access. The JavaScript variable enabledByDefault determines whether or not Student Access is enabled in all courses by default.
Note that Student Access will only appear in courses that have been scanned in UDOIT, either at the course level or using Cidiscape.
