These issues are often reported after changes have been made to an institution's JavaScript.
The following issues have been reported:
- Sidebar opens and closes immediately
- Expanders, accordions won't open, or open and close immediately
- Double radio buttons for Quick Check answer choices
- Large accordion heading height
- Double expander control buttons
These issues are often reported after changes have been made to an institution's JavaScript in the Canvas theme of a sub-account.
It typically indicates that an Admin has added duplicate JavaScript code to a sub-account. This is usually done inadvertently when the Admin user has created a new Theme based on Default Template. When basing a sub-account theme on Default Template, Canvas will now populate the new theme with the same CSS/JS files as its parent. The admin user making the theme may not notice this issue, and so the duplicate code remains on the sub-account theme.
To remedy this problem, Admin users should clear out all CSS/JS files from new sub-account themes that are based on the Default Template before saving and applying the new theme. If you have the permissions to do this and would like help, let us know at support@cidilabs.com. If you do not have the access required to edit Canvas themes, please forward this information to your Canvas Admin to make the change and reach out to us if there are any questions along the way.
