Our Language Accents Tool is a course-level tool that is available to both course admins and students. It helps to alleviate the need to memorize keyboard shortcuts for special characters.
The Language Accents Tool is not included as a part of our standard comfort levels. Faculty or other course admins must turn this tool on through settings in the DesignPLUS sidebar. They will find a toggle to turn it on at the bottom of the settings.
Once turned on, admins will be able to use language accent characters as they build their pages. Students, in courses where the tool is turned on, will be able to use the Language Accents Tool in assignment submissions, discussion responses, and when answering quiz questions.
