Does DesignPLUS work with Canvas' New Quizzes?

Yes - the Sidebar will load in the Instructions area of New Quizzes if you have Beta Tools enabled in your user account. Also, New Quizzes can be duplicated via the Multi-Tool's Module Builder, using "Assignments."

The DesignPLUS Sidebar is now available in New Quizzes as a beta feature, as of 7/27/2026.

This allows you to use DesignPLUS styling directly within New Quiz Instructions, making it easier to create engaging, accessible, and consistently formatted quiz content without leaving the editor.

How do I enable beta features in DesignPLUS?

Module Builder

New Quizzes can also be built en masse within the Multi-Tool's Module Builder, by duplicating the "Assignment" type and selecting the New Quiz you'd like to copy.
