      Does the size of my banner image matter in the DesignPLUS sidebar?

      The size of the Banner Image is a design choice. There are no requirements for the size or ratios for the Banner Image in DesignPLUS.

      Since the maximum width of DesignPLUS content in Canvas is 1100px, we recommend that banners be at least 1100px wide to prevent pixelated resolution.

      A 10:3 ratio (1100px by 330px) is recommended by Cidi Labs because it doesn't require students to scroll. However, the ratio of the Banner Image is completely optional.

      There were requirements for this ratio in some legacy themes with the legacy sidebar for the Link Grid to overlay correctly, but this is no longer true for the new DesignPLUS sidebar.
