UPDATE 5/23/22: We've tested the Design Tools sidebar with the EesySoft product present and everything appears to be working normally again. It seems that EesySoft has resolved the issue and that their product no longer interferes with the Design Tools sidebar.

During the last week of April 2022, EesySoft pushed an update of some sort that breaks the connection between the Design Tools sidebar and the Canvas rich content editor. We have had several institutions report this behavior and a ticket has been filed by at least one of our institutions to have EesySoft address the issue.
At this point, there does not appear to be anything we can do to bypass the issue. Without EesySoft, there are a lot of variables associated with the Canvas editor that we use to communicate with the editor:
However, once the EesySoft script loads, those variables are erased:
