We will walk your organization through the installation process. During the install call, which will be completed through Zoom, ReadyGO will be installed at the Canvas root or sub-account. The call will take no more than an hour.
Steps for Installation
The steps to install ReadyGO include the following:
- Enabling the Cidi Labs ReadyGO inherited developer keys.
- Creating the ReadyGO Task Runner User.
- The Task Runner is a Canvas user that is given limited account permissions to obtain data necessary for ReadyGO and perform the necessary functions specific to ReadyGO. The Task Runner uses the Canvas API to gather data asynchronously throughout the day, which is why we recommend setting up a unique Canvas user.
- Creating the Task Runner Role.
- The Task Runner role limits access for the Task Runner user. Permissions granted to this role can be found in our ReadyGO admin guide.
- Adding the Task Runner as an admin at the root or sub-account level where ReadyGO is licensed.
- Opening ReadyGO.
- Adding the ReadyGO Task Runner to ReadyGO as a ReadyGO Admin.
- Masquerading as the ReadyGO Task Runner to generate a Canvas API token in ReadyGO.
- Testing the ReadyGO Installation.
- (Optional) Adding the ReadyGO LTI to the root or sub-account where ReadyGO is licensed.
The ReadyGO LTI is enabled at the account level where ReadyGO is licensed.
(Optional) The ReadyGO Instructor LTI for UDOIT is manually enabled at the course level.
Who needs to join the installation?
A Canvas root account admin who has access to the developer keys and can masquerade as other users must be present at the call to install the tool.
