Why did I get the message "An error occurred while checking this file" in UDOIT File Review?

Files can fail to scan if they are too large or corrupted.

When you see this error, it means that a file failed to scan in UDOIT. There are a few reasons this can happen:

  • The file is too large for UDOIT to scan
  • The file is corrupted
  • A server error interrupted the scan

If the file is larger than 20 Mb, you can try breaking it down into smaller sections, uploading those to Canvas, and then re-scanning the course.
