In order to build an extended customizations course, several permissions and features must be enabled in Canvas.
Before the call, the Root Admin/Super Admin should:
- Enable the Cidi Labs DesignPLUS and Cidi Labs Install inherited developer keys (these are often already enabled during the initial installation of DesignPLUS)
- Enable the sub-account themes feature in the root Account Settings
If a Sub-Account Admin is planning to complete the extended customizations course configuration, they must be able to:
- Create new courses in the sub-account where the extended customizations course will be installed
- Edit sub-account CSS/JS in the Canvas Theme Editor
- If you will be customizing DesignPLUS theme colors for a sub-account, bring a list of the hex codes for the new color values.
- Import and edit course content
