We do not store grades, submissions, or any other course performance data.
ObservEd is a Canvas LTI tool that pulls real-time student data and displays it within your Canvas instance. All your sensitive student data stays safe within the Canvas ecosystem.
ObservEd users do have the option of downloading ObservEd Reports in a CSV format, which would take the data outside of Canvas, but only users who can (1) authenticate to your Canvas instance and (2) have been enrolled in the ObservEd class can do so.
