I exported an epub file from my Canvas course, but I do not see DesignPLUS styling. This is because epub files include Vanilla HTML which does not include DesignPLUS styling.
The missing DesignPLUS styling from an epub file is intentional. An epub file will include the Vanilla HTML. This is because Canvas uses JavaScript and CSS to pull in DesignPLUS styles. When a course is exported as an epub file, the JavaScript and CSS are no longer used as a reference to the course content.
If you would like to view the Vanilla HTML for DesignPLUS content before exporting an epub file, you will view the content and add the following to the end of the URL. All styles will be lost until you are no longer editing the content.
