If the Pixel (px) font size chosen in the Style Editor is convertible to a whole number Point (pt) size that is offered in the RCE, the Point size will be displayed in the RCE instead of Pixels.
When using the DesignPLUS Style Editor, you have the option to select your own custom font size in Pixels. We utilize Pixels (px), as apposed to Point (pt), for consistency with all of the other sizes that can be adjusted in the Style Editor (padding, margins, border width, etc).
When Font Sizes Don't Seem to Match
If you select a Pixel (px) font size that correlates exactly to a Point (pt) font size that is offered in the Canvas Rich Content Editor (RCE), it will be displayed as the associated Point size instead of Pixels. Although it appears to be different font sizes, it is the same font size, represented two different ways. In the example below, 24pt = 32px.
When Font Sizes Are Displayed In Pixels
If a Pixel font size does not correlate to a whole Point size offered in the Canvas RCE, the RCE will display the Pixel size instead.
40 Pixels = 30 Points, but 30pt is not an available selection in the Canvas RCE, so 40px is displayed instead.
Converting from Pixels to Point
The Code Beautify website offers a helpful chart showing how Pixel sizes correlate to full or partial Point sizes.
The Canvas RCE offers the following Point sizes: 8, 10, 12, 14, 18, 24, and 36. Therefore, if you utilize any of the Pixel sizes that correlate to these Point sizes, you can expect to see their Point size alternative in the RCE. Any other Pixel size entered will be displayed in px.
